About the Role Volt is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Alpharetta, GA to perform manufacturing operations, calibration tasks, rework, and quality testing across parts and final assemblies. You will collaborate with engineers on setup, data collection, and process improvements, including on-line adjustments and experiments. This is a 12-month contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. What You'll Do
- Perform a broad range of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including skilled hand work or using automated production equipment.
- Work with engineers on setup and calibration tasks, and conduct rework and quality testing related to production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations; interpret technical specifications and blueprints; set up wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
- Make setups and adjustments while maintaining tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Assist engineers in experiments and developing methods/procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including both skilled hand work and use of automated production equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of technical specifications, terms, and documents.
- Experience wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units; ability to perform setups/adjustments to tolerances per blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and the ability to work with engineers on experiments and process improvements. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $22-24 per hour (USD).
