Job title: Manufacturing Technician
Syensqo is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Rock Hill, SC to support production on our fiber/creel line. You will work as part of a team to keep production moving, ensure quality, and apply manufacturing knowledge to meet targets while operating around mechanical machinery. This is a hands-on, full-time role with 12-hour rotating shifts and a focus on reliability and quality.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot equipment; identify root causes and take corrective action to resolve problems
- Recognize quality issues and make adjustments to ensure excellent quality
- Perform general upkeep on equipment to improve reliability and process and product consistency
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to achieve and exceed result targets
- Perform material handling, including properly packaging and labeling of products
- Ties on or splices ends to repair breaks in creel and throughout the production line; Fiber path setup from creel to winding using production forms
- Will be around mechanical machinery; maintain a good work ethic and dependable attendance
- Sit or stand for 10 to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation; lift up to 50 lbs; operate computer and related systems
- Complete and pass Essential Function Testing
What We're Looking For
- Stable work history
- High school diploma or GED
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to work safely and communicate effectively
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and climb stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate computer systems
- Commitment to passing Essential Function Testing
Nice to Have
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fiber or web handling experience preferred (nonwovens, textiles, fabrics, plastic sheeting, or paper)
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary; base pay starting from $24.54/hour; total compensation may include bonuses or incentives
