Manufacturing Technician 1

About the Role The Manufacturing Technician 1 (MT 1) at Illumina Singapore is responsible for executing operational and autonomous maintenance activities, including cleaning, setup, operation, assembly, formulation, packaging and inspection of finished products in compliance with cGMP, quality and safety requirements to achieve production objectives. What You'll Do

• Perform a wide variety of assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products strictly following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirements
• Perform equipment setup and conduct functional testing prior to production
• Conduct quality inspections, checks, and verifications, and follow up on actions per work instructions
• Perform transactions in MES and ERP systems according to work instructions
• Perform work order processing to complete products to inventory
• Perform kitting and other packaging functions
• 6S housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of the working area
• Use problem identification techniques to recognize issues and escalate concerns
• Work in a team to meet daily production schedule, considering equipment availability with direct supervision
• Perform autonomous management activities with direct supervision
• Support troubleshooting on simple issues related to product, process and equipment with direct supervision
• Participate in 6S activities as part of continuous improvement
• Assist in incident investigations
• Periodic inventory check and cycle count activities with direct supervision
• Safe handling of common tools and completing planned equipment maintenance with direct supervision
• Identify hazards at workplace
• Ensure own certification and development plans are completed
• Take on additional tasks when required What We're Looking For
• Understanding of Manufacturing/Enterprise systems/Manufacturing IoT and automation
• Commitment to cGMP, Quality, and safety practices
• Ability to undertake multiple tasks and work in a manufacturing environment including cleanroom
• Willingness to rotate shifts on a 12-hour schedule (days/nights) with staggered breaks
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg
• Ability to read Process Flow Diagrams with guidance; color identification for components/chemicals
• High level of discipline, integrity, detail orientation, and sense of urgency
• Prior experience in GMP manufacturing is preferred; minimum education/experience: 5 years post-secondary or 3 years O Level equivalent; NITEC 0-1 year
• Willingness to work in Singapore location and wear PPE Nice to Have
• Experience in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical manufacturing
• Experience handling enzymes, proteins and antibodies
• Experience using laboratory instruments (pH meter, conductivity meter, UV/Vis spectrophotometer, NanoDrop, micropipettes) and analytical instruments (HPLC, LC-MS)
• For Formulation team only: Education major in Science; Experience in Biochemistry/Biotechnology; Experience in handling enzymes, proteins and antibodies; Experience with lab instruments and analytical instruments Compensation & Benefits
