About the Role The Manufacturing Tech/Assembler will assemble, test, fit and disassemble assemblies or sub-assemblies including main steam turbines, valves, gears, generators, pumps and compressors, with a focus on 2nd shift operations.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret written and verbal work instructions, using detailed part and tool drawings.
- Set up work areas and machines for required operations; obtain tools, fixtures and relocation equipment.
- Follow established procedures to perform assembly, balancing, riveting, and related functions.
- Work to close tolerances; examine dimensions and determine inspection needs before, during, and after assembly; notify inspectors as required.
- Check work, record dimensions or characteristics, and prepare for inspection.
