Job title: Manufacturing Tech Co-Op
About the Role The Manufacturing Tech Co-Op is an onsite program in Memphis, TN for Summer/Fall 2026 (June 2026 – December 2026). You will support engineers with plant trials, troubleshoot daily production and maintenance issues, and assist with capital projects and process design across key unit operations, including separations, reaction engineering, spray drying, and bulk solids handling. This role also emphasizes Process Safety Management and hands-on learning in a food ingredients context.
What You'll Do
- Provide support to engineers in executing plant trials and troubleshooting daily production and maintenance issues.
- Assist with unit operations including separations, reaction engineering, spray drying, and bulk solids handling.
- Write experimental outlines, execute experiments, and report findings.
- Provide administrative and technical support to manufacturing.
- Offer technical support to production and maintenance.
- Support capital projects and process design work.
- Assist with Process Safety Management and related activities.
- Some shift work may be required.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled undergraduate (Sophomore, Junior or Senior) pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering; program not for graduate students.
- Ability to work safely and adhere to corporate/site EHS guidelines.
- Strong math and statistical background; technical aptitude for unit operations.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills; able to contribute in a team environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Must be at least Sophomore by hours at start of co-op term.
- Authorized to work in the United States; willing to comply with facilities career services guidelines.
Nice to Have
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (cumulative and major).
- Willingness to comply with education facility’s career services center guidelines.
