Job title: Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer with ZF Active Safety and Electronics US LLC, you will develop, optimize, and support PCB final assembly and Injection Molding processes to improve quality, capacity, and capability. You’ll lead root cause analysis, DOE studies, tooling development, and oversee new product launch readiness to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing performance.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and support PCB Final Assembly and Injection Molding processes; analyze and improve quality, capacity, and capability.

  • Perform root cause analysis, process capability studies, and implement process controls to meet performance requirements.

  • Develop equipment, mold tooling, materials, and process performance requirements; conduct vendor searches and evaluate equipment to ensure capability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Design and execute DOE experiments and capability studies; develop process specifications and procure tooling.

  • Create process and equipment documentation; train personnel on new processes, materials, and equipment.

  • Provide technical support for new product launches, including establishing process recipes, tooling procurement, and DFM reviews to improve manufacturability.

  • Read mechanical CAD drawings and apply GD&T principles.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with seven years of related experience.

  • Experience implementing and supporting automated final assembly processes and equipment for PCB technologies.

  • Experience with Injection Molding process, Injection Molding Tool Design for Manufacturing, SMED, and Mold Tooling Maintenance.

  • Experience in the development and execution of designed experiments (DOE).

  • Team leadership and project management skills; ability to communicate and influence others.

  • Experience supporting PFMEA and control plans.

  • Six Sigma training (Green Belt / Black Belt) with practical experience.

  • Experience with industrial controls such as PLCs and Robotics.

  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: USD 85,300 – 100,000 per year.
