About the Role A Manufacturing Engineer at Skyworks will manage day-to-day reliability test production activities, lead process improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day reliability test production activities, including scheduling, workflows, capacity planning, work in progress inventory accuracy, quality yield, and delivery of products.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery of products.
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise staff, provide guidance, and foster optimal performance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and standards.
- Knowledge in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferable.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; ability to lead projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with reliability testing or WIP optimization is a plus.
