Job title: Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role GRAMMER is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at the Shannon, United States facility to support and drive manufacturing initiatives for automotive interiors and seating systems. You’ll help plan and execute projects, optimize processes, and ensure APQP/PPAP/ISO/TS16949 alignment to meet customer requirements.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain project timelines
- Participate in identifying open items and issues
- Review mold and secondary fixture designs and make recommendations
- Develop workflows, effective layouts and optimize processes
- Evaluate and implement process/product improvements
- Work with the team to develop tooling and poka-yoke methods
- Assist with training of technical and production staff in processing standards
- Develop short and long-term strategies to support customer requirements
- Authorize engineering change notices (deviations), process alerts, purchase orders, equipment spare parts inventory, and personnel training requests
- Support plant safety rules, UAW contract, procedures and standards
- Participate in assigned project launch strategies, capital needs, and program timing in support of APQP, PPAP, and ISO/TS16949 requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Automotive industry experience
- Product launch exposure a plus
- Experience with facility expansion a plus
