About this role

Role Purpose

We are seeking an engineer to support new product introduction and manufacturing support efforts across or external manufacturing sites. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with design, product engineering, quality, and supplier teams to ensure product data integrity and that the products meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. This is an opportunity for engineers to gain hands-on experience in product lifecycle development and continuous improvement within a globally connected manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive PDM release of all required product data such as drawings, BOM, and AVL.

  • Support ECO/ECR implementation and change alignment.

  • Drive DFM with external manufacturers and coordinate change management.

  • Drive and track sample builds, qualification test plans, and qualification activities with suppliers.

  • Ensure qualification reporting-to-standards and collaborate with product engineering for product approvals.

  • Support products at all lifecycle stages, escalate and resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain tool sets for tracking supplier capabilities, equipment, and qualifications.

  • Analyze product performance and quality data, support failure analysis and corrective action efforts.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in English with effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Understanding of PDM systems and usage along with product data structures such as AVL and BOM.

  • Ability to read and comprehend product drawings and bills of materials.

  • Good understanding of product tests in relation to product qualification.

  • Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing new product introduction activities.

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers at an engineering level.

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA-568.3, GR-1435, GR-2866, and GR-326.

  • Solid knowledge of optical cable assembly build and test processes.
