Job title: Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role A proactive, solution-oriented Manufacturing Engineer will join Copeland Flow Controls Czech s.r.o. in Kolín, Czechia to provide technical support to production, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality-focused operations while driving productivity improvements and cost reductions. The role emphasizes process optimization, workplace ergonomics, new product introduction (NPI), and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support to production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and process deviations.
- Set up and optimize manufacturing processes, production parameters, and equipment, including hands-on support with tooling, fixtures, and adapters.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions while supporting process standardization and employee training.
- Support the installation, replacement, and commissioning of machinery, equipment, and tooling, including preparation of technical documentation and project execution.
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities, including manufacturing line design and material flow optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
What We're Looking For
- High school or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; 0–3 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience with process optimization and new product introduction (NPI).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Czech and English (mandatory).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
- Good command of English for reading and writing technical documentation.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies; experience with 3D CAD NX and Pro/ENGINEER.
