About the Role CNH Zedelgem is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Assembly. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you translate engineering 2D/3D drawings into actionable assembly processes and determine how assembly should be performed under optimal conditions, including tooling. You will monitor initial on-line assembly for new options and new machines, and collaborate with engineering, procurement and quality to discuss improvements and issues, and evaluate new designs for their impact on shop floor layout.
What You'll Do
- Develop and optimize assembly processes using Lean methodologies (Kaizen, NVAA-Analyse, layout studies, etc.).
- Determine required tooling (in-house or to be procured).
- Supervise first-off assembly on the line for new options and new machines.
- Maintain contact with engineering, purchasing, and quality to discuss improvements and problems.
- Evaluate new designs and their impact on workplace layout.
- Document assembly processes in detail (SOPs, time standards).
- Determine standard times via time studies and create work allocations.
- Support team leads in daily activities.
- Provide solutions for assembly issues: reduce human errors, improve accessibility, ergonomics, noise levels, and working at height.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor or Master in a technical field.
- Comfortable in an assembly environment; affinity with agriculture is a plus.
- Willingness to take a course on work analysis and sit the exam (PVO training).
- Knowledge of Lean, WCM and Kaizen methodologies.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Able to communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
