About the Role Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Assembler in Winooski, Vermont. This role provides essential support across manufacturing operations, including materials handling, production, test and repair, quality inspections, and documentation to help ensure reliable, efficient manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Support materials handling, shipping/receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with production activities including assembling, filling, measuring, mixing, testing and verifying performance in the manufacture of products.
- Perform routine testing of assemblies and finished products; interpret results and carry out routine repairs.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process and finished products to ensure conformance with quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain applicable records and documentation; may enter data into an ERP system.
What We're Looking For
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Assembly experience with mechanical prints and bills of materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Dependability and availability for a variety of tasks and activities.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in electromechanical assembly / test / inspection.
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical / assembly drawings.
- Leadership skills / training such as Lean Manufacturing concepts and Team skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $23.59/hour.
