KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Microfinance Bank.

• Develop and implement business strategies, annual plans, and growth initiatives.

• Drive revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion.

• Oversee lending and credit operations, ensuring a healthy and sustainable loan portfolio.

• Develop strategies for effective loan recovery and management of non-performing loans.

• Ensure effective risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance.

• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, relevant laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor the Bank’s financial performance, liquidity, capital position, and key performance indicators.

• Lead the development and implementation of products and services that meet customers’ needs.

• Oversee operational efficiency and ensure excellent customer service delivery.

• Establish performance targets and ensure accountability across all departments.

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team.

• Identify business risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

• Represent the institution at industry, regulatory, and stakeholder engagements.

• QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or MBA will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in banking, microfinance, financial services, or a related sector.

• At least 10 years in senior management/leadership roles, preferably within a regulated financial institution.

• Strong understanding of microfinance banking, credit, risk management, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.

• Strong knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements and the Nigerian financial services environment.

• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and team leadership.

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and corporate governance awareness.
