About the Role Dynamic and high-energy leader providing strategic and tactical leadership for the operational execution of procurement and materials management supply chain sub-functions and planning. This role will enable growth and profitability by engaging programs with Design for Supply Chain tools and metrics, negotiating strategic supplier agreements, developing strategic sources for emerging technologies and capacity expansion, and expanding dual-sourcing to increase supply chain resiliency. The role reports to the Director of Operations and leads a 3+ person team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage experienced professionals and teams, including succession planning and talent development.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for supply chain; communicate within the organization and with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Contracts, program management, engineering and operations to ensure early supply chain involvement in proposals and new program design efforts.
  • Develop and execute transformation plans focused on Design for Supply Chain, supply chain resiliency, lead time reduction, quality improvements, and implement new tools, systems and processes.
  • Support make/buy decisions and outsourcing as needed; manage risk and ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and on-time delivery.
  • Lead the supply chain team to achieve working capital targets through payment terms negotiations, outsourcing, and inventory reductions.
  • Ensure compliance with EAR, ITAR, UCC, FAR, DFARS and flow-downs of customer contractual requirements.
  • Develop process metrics, monitor trends, and report monthly on KPI continuous improvement; implement new tools to improve efficiency.
  • Travel requirements approximately 20%.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; Graduate Degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years with no degree.
  • Preferred: Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, business management or technical field.
  • Extensive supply chain experience including early sourcing, production planning, materials management, subcontracts, procurement, complex negotiations and contracting.
  • 3+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Government Subcontracting and FAR/DFARS compliance.
  • Experience leading teams; negotiating subcontracts and long-term agreements.
  • Strong, metric-driven approach; proficiency in MS Office and Excel; solid record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of lean principles, RCA, 5S+1 Visual Factory; familiarity with welding, machining, metal part cleaning, clean room and pressure testing; NDT and dimensional measurement; creation of process drawings.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D, GD&T, aerospace hardware; precision assembly; lean six sigma.
  • Travel ~20%.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with welding, machining, metal part chemical cleaning, clean room and pressure testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience with Manual and CNC Machining, Welding, Assembly, Metal Chemical Cleaning; familiarity with NDT and dimensional measurement; process drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Additional aerospace industry certifications or process improvement credentials.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,500 - $186,500 per year.
