Role Purpose

The Manager, Solutions Hub supports the Lead, Solutions Hub in delivering high-quality procurement support services and ensuring a seamless experience for Takeda employees and business stakeholders across Japan.

The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing service delivery performance, supporting team development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Solutions Hub organization.

As a people manager, the position provides coaching, guidance, and operational leadership to team members, ensuring consistent service standards, knowledge development, and employee engagement.

The Manager also plays an important role in advancing digital adoption, process optimization, and customer experience enhancement through collaboration with internal stakeholders and Global Procurement Solutions.

Accountabilities

Service Delivery and User Support

Support the Lead, Solutions Hub in delivering high-quality procurement support services to employees, suppliers, and business stakeholders. Oversee daily operations and ensure inquiries, requests, and issues are resolved accurately and within established service levels. Act as an escalation point for operational issues and support timely resolution of complex cases. Monitor service performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Support the development and maintenance of knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, FAQs, and training materials.

Team Management and Capability Development

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to Solutions Hub team members. Foster a customer-focused, collaborative, and continuous improvement mindset within the team. Support onboarding, cross-training, and capability-building activities to ensure operational resilience and service excellence. Assist the Lead, Solutions Hub in workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

Continuous Improvement and Digital Adoption

Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of standardization, automation, and digital solutions. Promote the adoption of GenAI, automation, and analytics tools to improve productivity and user experience. Support local and global transformation initiatives impacting Procurement Solutions services.

Stakeholder Support and Business Partnering

Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders and procurement partners. Support communication and change management activities related to service enhancements and operational changes. Represent the Solution Hub team in operational meetings, workshops, and improvement initiatives as delegated by the Lead.

Governance and Compliance

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, operational procedures, internal controls, and compliance requirements. Support audit activities, risk mitigation efforts, and issue remediation actions where applicable.

  • Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, Narita 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45
