About the Role ICON is seeking a Manager, Site Engagement in Mexico to establish and manage investigator/site relationships, oversee site activation and performance, and ensure compliance for outsourced trials across global programs. The role partners with global/local teams and external vendors to optimize site performance and recruitment while adhering to ICH-GCP and local regulations. What You'll Do
- Establish and manage site relationships, act as liaison between the company and investigational sites, and raise awareness of client compounds and projects.
- Develop and implement plans to raise the profile of the company with current and potential investigators; independently evaluate investigational sites to build the network.
- Collaborate with Medical/Patient/Industry associations to expand the network and promote trials; gain knowledge of site capabilities and past performance.
- Ensure regular communication with local organization to align interactions with KTLs and other stakeholders; oversee site-level start-up, conduct, and close-out activities outsourced to CROs.
- Support Site Agreement negotiations (stand-alone and Master Site Agreements); identify trends, issues and risks and work with vendors and Trial Team to resolve.
- Ensure timely site activation and recruitment targets; identify reasons for non-recruitment and non-performing sites; ensure compliance with ICH/GCP/local regulatory requirements.
- Provide sponsor site oversight at country level for outsourced trials; utilize site performance data to prioritize oversight actions. What We're Looking For
- Detailed understanding of clinical protocol design and implementation, site monitoring, and global drug development; expert knowledge of clinical development and regulatory environment (ICH GCP and regional/local regulations).
- Therapeutic area experience in Oncology and/or Neurology and/or Immunology preferred; 8+ years in clinical operations in CRO/pharma/biotech including site management/oversight.
- Strong communication skills in English and native language; ability to interpret site performance data; independent, self-driven; strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities; CTMS/eTMF experience preferred.
- Educational requirement: Medical or Life Sciences degree (graduate) or equivalent. Nice to Have
