About the Role
At Sun Pharma's Halol plant, we are seeking a Manager – Reliability Engineering to lead the reliability program, shaping strategy and governance to maximize asset uptime and ensure compliance. You will drive data-driven maintenance and collaborate across functions to build a stronger, more reliable operation.
What You'll Do
- Lead reliability strategy and governance across facilities and processes
- Standardize reliability practices and engineering guidelines across plants
- Deep-dive into RCA, FMEA/FMECA, and failure elimination programs
- Drive improvements in MTBF, reduce MTTR, and enhance asset availability
- Lead predictive and condition-based maintenance programs (vibration analysis, monitoring tools)
- Apply reliability analytics and data-driven decision-making using SAP PM / ERP
- Manage reliability initiatives for utilities and critical pharma systems (HVAC, water, boilers, compressors)
- Integrate reliability KPIs into plant and leadership governance
- Oversee asset lifecycle management and maintenance strategy optimization
- Ensure pharma compliance (USFDA, MHRA, GMP) across equipment and processes
- Optimize spares strategy aligned with equipment criticality and risk
- Foster automation, Industry 4.0 readiness and reliability-focused technology upgrades
- Build and upskill teams to nurture a reliability-focused culture
- Demonstrate measurable business outcomes (uptime, cost, reliability)
What We're Looking For
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation
- MBA or certification in Digital/Industry 4.0 preferred
- Experience: 10–15 years total with 5–7 years in pharma/regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of pharma compliance (USFDA, MHRA, GMP)
- Hands-on experience with SAP PM / ERP and reliability analytics
- Experience in utilities and critical pharma systems (HVAC, water, boilers, compressors)
Nice to Have
- MBA or certification in Digital/Industry 4.0 preferred
