About this role
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Network Design & Architecture to provide strategic leadership, technical architecture, governance, and quality assurance across our Managed Network Services division. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, this role leads the Network Design & Architecture function and design teams, defines and enforces network architecture standards, and drives enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, fibre, OSP and security architecture to deliver scalable, secure and high-performance network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Network Design & Architecture function and design teams
- Define and enforce network architecture standards, frameworks, and governance
- Approve major high-level and detailed designs, including HLDs, LLDs, RF designs, BoMs, fibre and OSP designs
- Drive enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, fibre, OSP and security architecture
- Lead zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), automation and NMS design alignment
- Optimize BoMs, vendor selection, project costs and margins
- Provide technical support for pre-sales, deployment and NOCC operations
- Mentor engineers and build a high-performing architecture team
- Drive continuous improvement, capacity planning and adoption of emerging technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field
- 7–10 years of experience in network design, architecture or advanced engineering
- Proven experience leading design/architecture teams
- Strong expertise in IP networking, routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN and enterprise Wi-Fi
- Experience with RF planning, fibre backbone and OSP design
- Strong understanding of network security, ZTP and multi-vendor environments
- Experience with OEMs such as Cisco, Ruckus, Fortinet, MikroTik, Ubiquiti or OpenWiFi
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Mandatory certification: one of Cisco CCNP Enterprise / CCDP, CWNA or higher, Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
- Desirable certifications: Ekahau ECSE, MTCINE/MTCRE, Ruckus RWF-100/RWD, Ubiquiti UEWA, TIP OpenWiFi or ITIL v4
