About this role

ROLE PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

Goal: The Marketing Data & Insights Manager will unify marketing data from across the funnel and turn it into commercially actionable insight for aCommerce's clients and internal teams across Southeast Asia. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, ecommerce, and commercial strategy, bringing together upper-, mid-, and lower-funnel data into a single, coherent view of what is actually driving growth. A successful candidate will be highly analytical and commercially minded, with a deep understanding of the consumer decision-making journey, how ecommerce platforms across Southeast Asia operate and generate marketing-driven GMV, and how to translate that data into strategy, go-to-market plans, and tangible KPIs.

Responsibilities

As part of the Marketing team, you will own the process of unifying marketing data and turning it into insight that drives commercial decisions, working closely with Marketing Planning & Strategy, Paid Performance Marketing, Creative, Communication Planning & Strategy, and Livestreaming Production. Specifically, this role will:

  • Unify and consolidate marketing data from upper-, mid-, and lower-funnel sources into a single, reliable view that supports commercial decision-making.

  • Understand and map the consumer decision-making journey, connecting marketing data to how customers move through each stage of the funnel.

  • Maintain deep working knowledge of how ecommerce platforms across Southeast Asia operate — including user journey and how marketing activity drives GMV on each platform.

  • Turn marketing data into insight, translating that insight into commercial strategy and go-to-market plans for clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with the Business Development (BD) team to build marketing-led proposals that support new business acquisition.

  • Understand digital shelf, planogram, and cross-merchandising principles, and apply them to support commercial strategy on ecommerce platforms.

  • Identify the key data points needed to analyze performance and make recommendations for growth, including marketing strategy, action plans, and tangible KPIs.

  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients in a clear, decision-ready format.

  • Work cross-functionally across the five markets (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines) to ensure insights inform campaign planning and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing data analytics, ecommerce, or digital marketing, with strong hands-on analytical skills (Excel, SQL, and/or Python; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio).

  • Strong understanding of the full marketing funnel (upper, mid, and lower) and how each stage maps to the consumer decision-making journey.

  • Proven experience working with ecommerce platform data across Southeast Asia (e.g., Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop), including user journey mapping and marketing-driven GMV analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to turn marketing data into commercial insight, strategy, and go-to-market plans.

  • Experience partnering with Business Development teams to build marketing-led proposals that support new business.

  • Working knowledge of digital shelf, planogram, and cross-merchandising principles as they apply to commercial strategy.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to define actionable KPIs and growth recommendations.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills to work cross-functionally and across regional markets.

  • Business fluency in English.
