About the Role The Manager of Logistic Operations Distribution leads global clinical supply logistics (IMP, intermediates, finished products, and lab samples) ensuring GxP/GMP compliance and end-to-end distribution for clinical trials. The role collaborates with sponsors, couriers, and cross-functional partners to optimize global shipping, documentation, and data integrity within SAP ERP, ICSM, and MS Office. What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute global logistics for IMPs, intermediates, finished products, and lab samples in compliance with GxP and GMP.
- Manage shipping, customs documentation, and international logistics (EU & non-EU) including temperature-controlled transport and regulatory import requirements.
- Ensure timely provision and control of materials and documents; coordinate with sponsors, courier services, and partners; plan timelines.
- Handle returns, deviations, and investigations; maintain data, documents, and inventories in SAP ERP, ICSM, and MS Office.
- Ensure compliance with GxP (GMP, GDP, GCP) and develop/maintain SOPs; serve as the point of contact for shipping topics with clients, authorities, and customs and track shipments.
- Collaborate with international teams (JP, US, EU) and internal stakeholders; contribute to process improvements and continuous optimization. What We're Looking For
- University degree in Pharmacy, natural sciences, logistics, or related field.
- Several years of experience in a similar role within a GxP environment.
- Experience with clinical trial materials (IMPs) and temperature-controlled shipments.
- Very good IT skills (MS Office, SAP ERP, ICSM).
- Strong technical understanding and affinity for regulatory requirements.
- Structured, reliable, and autonomous working style; team-oriented and intercultural competence; flexibility, motivation, and organizational strength.
- Very good German and English language skills (spoken and written).
