About the Role The Manager, Infrastructure Project Advisory will lead oversight of construction contracts and project controls for large capital projects within KPMG's Deal Advisory practice, focusing on improving construction management processes, internal controls, and delivering project reviews and client development.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee construction contract audits, compliance reviews, project oversight and monitoring functions for large capital projects
  • Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls
  • Define and implement recommendations including construction management policies and procedures, processes, internal controls, roles and responsibilities, reporting, and supporting information technology
  • Conduct project reviews to evaluate percentage of completion, probability of recovery for change orders and claims, reasonableness of the estimate to complete construction, schedule delays, defective specifications, and loss of productivity
  • Manage engagement teams to perform field work, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations
  • Support client pursuit teams and assist in the sale of follow-on work with existing clients; play an integral supporting role in drafting proposals, marketing efforts and participating in business development events
  • Work closely, but independently, under the guidance of Directors and Partners; build strong external network with capital project owners, architectural/engineering professionals and construction managers
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in construction management or construction advisory services with increasing roles and responsibilities in major power and utilities, oil and gas, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, or public sector projects
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
