About the Role The Tools & Outdoor (T&O) division of Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Industrial Designer Manager for the Taiwan Design Center (TDC) in Taichung. This hands-on leadership role will report to the Senior Director of the Taiwan Design Center (TDC) and the HTAS Portfolio Design Manager as part of the global Product Execution team. The position will support end user insights, innovation, industrial design, surfacing, digital visualization and prototyping activities for key Brand franchises including DEWALT, Stanley, Black + Decker, Craftsman, Mac Tools, Irwin & Lenox. What You'll Do
- Act as a player/coach, leading and participating with teams to visualize new product design directions.
- Support end-user insights, innovation, industrial design, surfacing, digital visualization and prototyping across Brand franchises including DEWALT, Stanley, Black + Decker, Craftsman, Mac Tools, Irwin & Lenox.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within HTAS and the Taiwan Design Center as part of the global Product Execution team.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of the Taiwan Design Center (TDC) and the HTAS Portfolio Design Manager to align on design direction for key product lines. What We're Looking For
- Hands-on Industrial Design Manager who can function as a player/coach, participating and leading teams to visualize new product design directions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global Product Execution environment and coordinating with the Senior Director of the Taiwan Design Center (TDC) and the HTAS Portfolio Design Manager.
- Strong skills in end-user insights, industrial design, surfacing, digital visualization and prototyping.
