About the Role
The Manager – Implementations is a leadership role within Tyler's Professional Services, responsible for guiding a team of consultants in delivering Tyler's software solutions with consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role drives team development, removes obstacles, and fosters accountability and continuous improvement, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and Client Success to transition satisfied customers after go-live. Strong CAMA experience is mandatory for this role.
What You'll Do

Supervise, coach, and develop a team of implementation consultants, ensuring high performance and adherence to methodologies.

Own end-to-end implementation execution for assigned solutions, including solution design, configuration, and deployment to achieve successful client outcomes.

Provide advanced guidance to minimize disruption from technical or product-related issues.

Conduct regular performance feedback, reviews, and coaching; address underperformance constructively.

Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to build a best-in-class implementation team.

Align consultant resources with project demands, considering experience, skills, scope complexity, and revenue goals.

Monitor staff utilization and productivity; take corrective actions to meet performance objectives.

Mentor consultants on best practices and complex product functionality.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of implementation processes, tools, templates, and best practices; share enhancements across teams.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Conversions, Training, and Support to resolve challenges and improve delivery.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Conversion Engineers, Trainers, and Support to resolve escalated issues.

Participate in pre-sales activities including scope validation, proposal estimates, and RFP responses.

Assist in drafting and reviewing Statements of Work to ensure clarity and feasibility.

Partner with Sales to identify add-on opportunities and ensure smooth transitions between sales, implementation, and customer success.

Establish strong relationships with cross-functional teams for alignment and resource commitment.

Travel to client sites as necessary, up to 30%, to support high-priority engagements or escalations.

Forecast and track team revenue, manage billing milestones, and monitor financial performance against targets.

Champion a team-oriented culture and lead regular meetings or initiatives to foster collaboration and innovation.

Oversee special initiatives to expand capabilities and improve delivery (e.g., LMS, Datamart).

Maintain accountability for project deliverables, solution adoption, and customer satisfaction; conduct periodic project audits to ensure alignment with scope and standards.

Support strategic planning with budgets, staffing forecasts, and team development plans.

What We're Looking For
-
3-5 years of implementation and project management experience within a software company or division.

A bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience.

Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, business, and customer service skills, including partnering with clients on technical needs and delivering tailored solutions.

PMP strongly preferred.

Seven or more years of experience in managing client relationships and software projects.

At least 5 years of technical software experience with success in helping clients utilize new solutions.

Implementation of solutions experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of PMI standards for project execution.

Strategic planning, organizational and time management skills with demonstrated people and project management capabilities across multiple projects.

Strong expertise in CAMA systems and end-to-end property tax business processes, including valuation modeling, mass appraisal cycles, data collection and validation, cost and sales analysis, ratio studies, assessment roll production, and appeals management.

Hands-on experience with appraisal and tax software/products.

Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Prior experience interviewing.
