About the Role

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis leads financial planning and analysis for Scotia Global Asset Management within Global Wealth Management. The role oversees compensation expense governance, modeling, and financial reporting, delivering insights to business leaders and partners to support decision-making and process optimization. This is a 6-month contract and requires strong leadership to drive adoption of budgeting and forecasting processes.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business line results for the business and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reporting with strong controls to ensure timely and accurate information to Senior Management.
  • Manage closing journal entries and trial balance; assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries and allocations; oversee and review monthly journal entries/results.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis packages; report on monthly and year-to-date actuals relative to plan/forecast/previous year.
  • Build monthly/quarterly dashboards for senior management and monthly departmental expense reports for department heads.
  • Complete quarterly Blue Book, Business Line, Quarterly Overview, and Revenue & Expense variance analyses with commentary for Senior Management.
  • Own timely collection of financial and non-financial data from business and support groups; consolidate brand-level results and provide commentary for Asset Management.
  • Conduct analytical reviews to ensure forecast completeness and reasonableness; identify viable solutions and understand Asset Management performance vs plan.
  • Present and communicate monthly/quarterly results to business heads; establish and maintain systems to efficiently manage the reporting process.
  • Lead forecasting and annual profit planning; timely and accurate preparation of forecasts and budgets for business units and support groups; collaborate with business units to prepare quarterly and annual forecasts.

What We're Looking For

  • Senior-level experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) with oversight of compensation expense and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of budgeting/forecasting processes within Scotia Global Asset Management Finance.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual) with rigorous controls and accuracy.
  • Ability to partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders; excellent analytical and communication skills.
