Job title: Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

About the Role The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities, collaborating with various departments to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide valuable insights to guide strategic decisions. This role will have a primary focus on supporting the Endeavor Health Research Institute and the organization's five philanthropic foundations across the enterprise.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of the annual budget, working with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Analyze financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Oversee the collection, organization, and maintenance of financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement and manage financial planning software tools as needed.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on financial performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to hospital executives and department managers, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial planning and analysis processes, enhance financial controls, and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Coordinate with auditors during annual financial audits.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the department's effectiveness and growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Experience in grant management and/or supporting a Research group/organization is a plus.
