About the Role We are seeking a highly collaborative, discreet, and integrity‑driven Executive Protection Manager to join Mattel's Global Security & Investigations team. This role leads global executive protection and protective intelligence efforts for senior leadership, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across travel, workplace, residential, and event environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead EP security operations and emergency response, partnering with internal stakeholders, Executive Assistants, Human Resources, Facilities, Legal, Travel, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, secure, and seamless operations related to executive workplace safety and security initiatives.
- Provide oversight for executive workplace physical security monitoring and response in coordination with the site security team; manage C‑suite emergency response protocols and readiness for incidents involving senior leadership; engage in global crisis management and communications during incidents.
- Develop and implement incident detection, escalation, and resolution policies aligned with Global Security operations; provide strategic oversight for executive protection incidents and collaborate with operational teams responsible for daily execution.
- Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments related to executives, residences, workplaces, events, and travel; perform protective intelligence activities including social media/open‑source monitoring, insider threat evaluations, executive threat profiling, and pre‑incident indicator analysis; develop tailored security plans and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead development and continuous improvement of executive protection policies, standards, procedures, and best practices; serve as subject matter expert and trusted advisor on executive protection, protective intelligence, and threat management matters; build relationships with external partners, security providers, and law enforcement to support threat identification and executive safety.
- Plan and coordinate executive travel security, including advance security assessments for domestic and international travel, travel security plans, contingency procedures, and emergency response protocols for high‑risk trips and special events.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced risk management professional with strong judgment, operational excellence, and interpersonal skills; ability to build trusted partnerships across the organization and with external stakeholders; capable of managing complex security operations and coordinating crisis responses.
- Proven expertise in executive protection, protective intelligence, and threat management; ability to translate risk assessments into actionable security plans; strong confidentiality, collaboration, and ethical conduct.
- Experience working with global teams and traveling executives; ability to develop and implement preventive policies and programs and to adapt to dynamic environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: USD 121,000 – 135,000 yearly; base pay determined by location, skills, and experience.
