About this role

About the Role Manager - Corporate Tax based in Tarndanya – Adelaide. You will be part of EY's growing Corporate Tax Team, coordinating taxation services for a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day tax compliance, and reviewing income tax returns and tax accounting calculations. You will deliver a full spectrum of corporate tax advisory work and mentor junior staff as a Counsellor to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture. What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to coordinate and manage the provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
  • Deliver a full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory services tailored to client needs, while supporting senior team members in complex tax engagements, including ATO risk reviews, audits, and ruling application processes, with the backing of Australia’s top tax technicians.
  • Be a key point of contact for our clients, requiring you to collaborate with our specialist teams in bringing expertise to our corporate clients including in the areas of international tax and transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions.
  • Supervise and mentor the team, including senior consultants, consultants, and graduates, by acting as a 'Counsellor' for junior members, fostering their career development, and contributing to a positive team culture that promotes high performance, collaboration, and celebrates successes. What We're Looking For
  • Possess detailed knowledge and experience with the Australian taxation system, acquired through work in a professional services firm or a comparable industry role, along with expertise in corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes, and ATO lodgement obligations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and confidence in leading direct engagements with clients on substantive tax matters and coordinating various engagements, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions.
  • Hold a CA qualification or equivalent, or have completed other postgraduate studies (e.g., Tax Masters), with technical knowledge of IFRS and Tax Accounting considered an advantage, though not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment; 4-8 years of relevant tax experience in professional services or industry. Nice to Have
  • IFRS and Tax Accounting knowledge; experience with Tax Masters or equivalent qualifications preferred.
  • Experience with international tax, transfer pricing, and tax controversy engagements.
  • Comfortable working in a flexible, hybrid work environment and managing multiple priorities. Compensation & Benefits
