Manager, Consumer Products Assurance

About the Role We’re seeking a Manager to join RSM’s Consumer Products Assurance practice. You’ll lead multiple audit engagements, supervise teams, and deliver high-quality client service to manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers, helping them navigate GAAP/GAAS requirements. What You'll Do

• Provide timely, high-quality client service, coordinating auditing of financial statements, disclosures, and client deliverables.
• Assess risk, design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams, and ensure methodology is followed.
• Manage engagement teams, prepare end-of-engagement evaluations, and monitor staff performance with coaching notes.
• Supervise seniors and supervisors; act as in-charge; oversee fieldwork and adherence to work plans.
• Maintain ongoing client contact to understand business developments and impact on the audit.
• Develop others through training, career development, and firm initiatives.
• Stay current with industry publications and share relevant information with clients.
• Identify opportunities to introduce firm services and Centers of Influence to drive growth.
• Manage project profitability and escalate accounting/auditing matters to senior managers/partners.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and stay abreast of GAAP/GAAS/IFRS changes.
• Travel about 25% of the year as required. What We're Looking For
• BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent; CPA or CA certification.
• 5+ years in public accounting; experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Strong understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS.
• Proven track record building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
• Minimum 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements. Nice to Have
• Fluent in French, German, Japanese or Mandarin, including speaking, writing and reading, with deep cultural/business understanding.
