About this role
Manager, Compliance & Fraud Investigations
Description
-
Here’s a chance to build something from the ground up. The Central Fraud Hub within USRM Finance is looking for an Operational Vendor Evaluation Manager to build and lead a new team within the Vendor Evaluation Team (VET). You’ll take a close look at USRM non-claims vendors, checking contract adherence, service quality, billing accuracy, and resource optimization.
-
You’ll have a real say in how the program is built and which vendors we review first. You’ll build and grow a team of individual contributors and work closely with Procurement, Finance, Vendor Controls & Invoicing (VC&I), Vendor Analytics, and Lines of Business (LOBs).
-
In this role, you will lead USRM Operational vendor evaluation strategy and execution, prioritizing vendors by risk, spend, and business needs. Build, lead, and develop a team of individual contributors, managing priorities, workflow, capacity, and escalation of complex vendor issues. Design and maintain a scalable, defensible evaluation framework, including SOPs, scorecards, audit tools, and sampling approaches, and refine it as the program grows. Partner cross-functionally to source and validate data and deliver consistent results. Translate contracts, data, and operational insights into clear, executive-ready findings and recommendations, and keep Central Fraud Hub leadership updated on progress and risks. Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools (including generative AI and automation) to enhance evaluations, aligned with Liberty’s risk, compliance, and governance standards.
-
Experience Required
-
Experience leading a team, including coaching, setting priorities, and managing workload. Experience in Vendor Evaluations and knowledge of vendor contracts and SLAs. Understanding of compliance, risk, and control principles for third-party oversight. Experience working with data: pulling and validating information from multiple sources, reviewing invoices and data samples, comparing billing to contract terms, spotting numbers that don’t look right, and explaining what the data means for the business. Track record of partnering with VC&I, Finance, Procurement, Analytics, or control functions. Strong writing and presenting skills, including process documentation and reports for senior leaders. Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments, applying sound judgment to deliver results quickly. Experience conducting and overseeing vendor evaluations, audits, investigations, or third-party risk assessments.
-
Preferred Experience
-
Familiarity with vendor management or procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, EXL, or similar tools). Experience contributing to the build-out, piloting, or scaling of evaluation frameworks or programs. Familiarity with generative AI and automation tools, and comfort learning how to apply them in your work.
