About this role
United Flow Technologies is a platform established in July 2021 to invest in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater market. UFT has partnered with market leading businesses to create a national provider of process, pump, automation & control, and other equipment solutions. And we’re just getting started making strategic partnerships to provide clean water across the country!
United Flow Technologies (UFT) is a portfolio of acquired brands moving to a single, standard operating model, one consistent way of working from the first lead through the final invoice. The lead-to-invoice (L2I) assessment identified where brand processes need to change. The Manager, Business Process & Sales Operation is the hands-on owner of putting those changes into practice: first by executing the Dallas pilot, which serves as the proving ground for the operating model with a cluster of UFT brands, and then by turning what is learned into a repeatable framework for each subsequent cluster UFT selects to pilot.
Reporting to the VP of Integration & Operational Excellence and working closely with the Director, Business Process & Sales Operation (who leads process governance and integration across the platform), this individual will be embedded in the Dallas pilot and on site with brands as needed. Beyond the pilots, the role implements L2I recommendations across current brands, aligns newly acquired brands to UFT’s business processes, and leads continuous process improvement across all areas of the business. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who can work brand-by-brand while building an approach that scales.
What you'll do:
Dallas Pilot Execution
-
Own end-to-end execution of the Dallas pilot, translating L2I assessment recommendations into working processes, trained staff, and measurable outcomes within defined timelines.
-
Develop, deliver, and maintain pilot SOPs, including lead logging, synergy capture, and post-PO order entry, along with train-the-trainer materials for brand-level adoption.
-
Establish and track the pilot KPI framework (leading and lagging indicators), escalating gaps and risks to the VP of Integration.
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for brand-level staff, resolving process questions, data issues, and adoption friction.
-
Identify, log, and resolve gaps and bottlenecks surfaced during the pilot, confirming required changes are made before the model is extended to the next cluster.
-
Comfort with managing and leading third-party consultants through a successful pilot cycle aligned to UFT’s goals and growth approach. Escalates all risks and issues to the VP of Integration & Operational Excellence.
Pilot Framework & Replication
-
Capture the Dallas approach as a repeatable framework, implementation playbook, SOPs, training materials, KPI definitions, timelines, and readiness criteria, and keep it current with lessons from each pilot cluster.
-
Apply the framework to each new pilot cluster, adapting to the brands’ systems and commercial realities while keeping core standards intact.
-
Define go/no-go criteria for extending to each new cluster, and report results, lessons learned, and recommended framework changes to senior leadership.
L2I Implementation & New Brand Alignment
-
Turn L2I assessment recommendations into prioritized implementation plans for current brands, with clear owners, milestones, and success measures.
-
Partner with brand leadership and staff to implement changes without disrupting core commercial activity, tracking progress and reporting status to the VP of Integration and the Business Process Owner & Integration Support.
-
Assess newly acquired brands against the UFT process standard, identify gaps, and develop brand-specific alignment plans with realistic timelines and milestones using the pilot playbook.
-
Deliver SOP training and hands-on support to acquired-brand staff, coordinate with UFT IT and finance on data, system, and accounting needs, and document lessons learned to strengthen the playbook.
Continuous Process Improvement
-
Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across all areas of the business, sales and lead management, quoting, order entry, contract administration, invoicing, and back-office support, not limited to the L2I cycle, drawing on input from brand staff, brand leadership, and the Business Process Owner & Integration Support.
-
Analyze current-state processes, identify root causes, and design practical improvements that are tested, documented, and rolled out in a controlled way.
-
Maintain a standard intake and prioritization method for improvement ideas, track each initiative through measured results, and use KPI and adoption data to validate improvements and update SOPs and the framework.
What you bring:
-
5 - 7+ years of experience in business process improvement, operations, project management, or integration roles, preferably within a multi-entity or acquired-brand environment.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead process implementation or pilot programs from design through rollout and scale a successful approach to additional groups or business units.
-
Experience documenting, implementing, and training teams on standard operating procedures, including teams that did not create them.
-
Knowledge of sales operations or commercial back-office processes (quoting, order management, contract administration, invoicing, synergy tracking) and CRM or ERP platforms (QuickBase, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Odoo, or equivalent); able to work around system limitations without losing process discipline.
-
Proven ability to influence and drive behavior change with people who do not report to you, including brand-level staff who are comfortable with how they currently work.
-
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple brands and workstreams without losing track of individual commitments.
-
Clear communicator, able to translate process standards into practical guidance for brand staff and summarize progress and results for executive stakeholders.
-
Willingness to travel to brand locations, especially during pilot and integration phases. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
-
Located in the Dallas metro area or willingness to relocate.
