Manager Business Planning & Controlling (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

• Manage and control the entire proposal lifecycle, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of proposal activities.
• Oversee and control business development accounts, including budget management, cost monitoring, and regular reporting.
• Provide financial support for Research & Development (R&D) activities through cost controlling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage and control internal projects from setup through ongoing cost and budget monitoring. Take responsibility for cost center planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting for assigned organizational units.
• Prepare and analyze key performance indicators related to order intake, proposal backlog, and relevant sales KPIs. Administer, maintain, and further develop Planisware data structures while supporting business units in process-related topics.
• Act as a trusted business partner to departments, program directorates, and management by providing financial insights and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Support capacity and workforce planning processes through the provision of utilization and FTE-related metrics. Analyze and report productivity indicators and derive actionable recommendations to support business objectives.
• Develop utilization analyses, capacity simulations, and scenario assessments to support strategic decision-making. Support month-end closing activities through project cost status analyses and close coordination with project and contract managers.
• Perform ad hoc analyses, contribute to cross-functional controlling topics, and support management with special requests and business insights.

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in Business Controlling, Project Controlling, or a Finance-related environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Proficient in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Planisware or comparable planning and resource management tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a high affinity for numbers and data.
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
