Manager, Ambulatory- Neurology - Full Time - 1st Shift
The Ambulatory Manager, in collaboration with the Director and Medical Leadership, is responsible for the operational, clinical, financial, and strategic oversight of specialty ambulatory clinics and/or diagnostic services across one or more locations.
This role leads day-to-day clinic operations to ensure high quality, safe, efficient, and family-centered care while supporting organizational priorities related to patient access, patient experience, employee and provider engagement, financial performance, growth, regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement.
The Ambulatory Manager provides leadership for clinic and diagnostic operations including staffing, workflow optimization, quality and safety initiatives, budget management, provider support, facility operations, and implementation of new programs and services. This position collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical and clerical staff, and cross-functional partners to drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or health related field (if an RN, must have BSN)
- 1-3 years of management/direct supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
- Customer Service , Communication and Computer skills including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or health related field
- 4+ years of pediatric clinic management
- Nursing Certification
Department Specific Job Details:
The Ambulatory Manager, Neurology provides operational and administrative leadership for Neurology, EEG Diagnostics, EMU and IONM in 4 locations at Dayton Children's. In collaboration with the Medical Director and under the direction of the Service Line Director, this leader ensures that providers and staff have the resources, processes, and support needed to deliver safe, high-quality, family-centered care while meeting organizational and financial objectives.
This position oversees day-to-day clinic operations, including patient access, clinical quality, patient and family experience, employee and provider engagement, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, facility management, business development, and program growth. The Ambulatory Manager serves as a collaborative partner to physicians, clinical leaders, staff, and other departments throughout the organization.
