Category Software Engineering

Location

Job ID 24371

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With tens of millions of customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

At Intuit we’re investing in a culture of builders, fostering an environment where innovation, creativity, and bold thinking are encouraged. This builder mindset is critical as we accelerate toward AI-native experiences that solve our customers’ most important problems.

We are looking for a Group (M3) Engineering Manager to provide engineering leadership across our Vertical Capability Platform and a portfolio of select emerging industry solutions within Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES). You will help evolve and drive IES from a horizontal ERP into an AI-native, industry-differentiated platform, delivering the financial and operational depth Mid-Market customers need to run their businesses end to end.

You will drive the vision that enables deep industry capabilities without creating one-off vertical stacks—turning common industry patterns into durable platform capabilities while delivering differentiated industry experiences on IES. You will help make each new vertical faster to build, easier to scale, and AI-native by default.

Responsibilities

  • Technology leaders at Intuit think strategically and drive for results - build high-performing teams, foster innovation, and create an environment where teams embrace new ideas that produce outstanding outcomes for our customers.

  • Lead teams in creating and bringing customer-driven software products to market that solve current customer needs while building durable capabilities for the future.

  • Drive technology strategy and guide key technical designs and decisions for the Vertical Platform and industry solutions, balancing customer needs, engineering velocity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Guide teams in building scalable, reliable, and AI-native platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple industry solutions.

  • Bring out the best ideas from engineers by empowering them, providing technical context and direction, and leading by example.

  • Create a shared vision and build strong cross-functional relationships and alignment with partners across Product Management, Design, Architecture, Program Management, and other engineering teams.

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across your teams.

  • Mentor and develop engineering leaders and engineers, helping them strengthen their technical and leadership skills and advance their careers.

  • Stay abreast of advancements in AI, automation, and emerging technologies, and help teams identify opportunities to apply them to meaningful customer problems.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered large-scale business applications and customer-driven software products.

  • Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product and technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.

  • Adept at articulating product vision and driving future roadmaps with strong business acumen.

  • Ability to think and act strategically across stakeholders.

  • Passion for being at the leading edge of technology, with 12–14+ years of hands-on software development experience across backend and frontend technologies.

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud technologies such as AWS and GCP

  • Experience leading AI-native applications using LLMs, agents, knowledge systems, and evaluation frameworks.

  • Experience with ERP, financial systems, industry SaaS, or complex B2B workflows is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of execution, engineering excellence, and customer obsession.

  • Proven track record of working effectively across organizational boundaries.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

  • Mountain View 244,000 - 330,000
