We are now looking to grow our Nordic team focused on the energy industry. You will join an ambitious professional team working with leading companies, investors and public-sector stakeholders. While the role is based in Sweden, you will be part of a close team that works across markets, geographies and disciplines.

Job Description

Help shape the decisions transforming the energy industry

The energy industry is undergoing profound change. Evolving markets, major investment requirements, new technologies and shifting regulatory frameworks are reshaping how organisations create value, allocate capital and position themselves for the future.

AFRY Management Consulting helps clients navigate these decisions through a combination of forward-looking market insight, strategy, transaction support and business transformation expertise.

We are looking for curious, analytical and ambitious individuals who want to work on some of the most important strategic, investment and business challenges shaping the future of the energy industry.

Where strategy, transactions and industry expertise come together

Our work spans the full range of strategic questions at the core of energy transition. Working alongside specialists from across AFRY, we help clients understand how markets, technologies and regulation are evolving, shape future direction, support investments and transactions, strengthen operating models, improve organizational effectiveness and realise value from transformation initiatives.

Working closely with clients and colleagues, we help organizations understand, structure and address complex questions related to:

  • How changing markets, technologies and regulatory frameworks create risks and opportunities
  • Identify growth opportunities, evaluate strategic options and define future direction
  • Analyze markets, competitors and technologies through forward-looking assessments
  • Support investment decisions, transactions and capital allocation through market assessments, due diligence and value realization
  • Improve performance through organizational development, operating model design and business transformation
  • Translate strategic ambitions into tangible outcomes and long-term value creation

Qualifications

  • You have experience from the energy sector and its broader value chain, gained in environments shaped by complex problems, senior stakeholder management and high expectations on analysis, judgement and collaboration. Your background may be from other relevant strategy or management consulting roles, or from industry roles such as corporate strategy, business development or M&A.

In addition, you are likely to thrive with us if you:

  • Have a strong interest in the energy industry and the forces shaping its future

  • Enjoy structuring complex problems and turning analysis into clear recommendations

  • Combine intellectual curiosity with sound judgement and a commercial mindset

  • Are comfortable working in situations where the answer is not immediately obvious

  • Communicate complex ideas clearly, both in writing and in conversation

  • Take responsibility for the quality of the work, contribute beyond your own deliverables and help colleagues and clients succeed

  • Are motivated by responsibility, continuous development and an ambitious professional environment built on trust and high standards

  • Your role and development

  • Depending on your experience, your role, responsibility level and development path will reflect the profile you bring and where you can make the strongest contribution. Our consulting roles span from early-career consultant positions to senior advisory and leadership roles, allowing us to consider candidates with different levels and combinations of experience.

  • A relevant master's degree is expected. Professional fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Swedish is important for many of our client engagements.
