Job title: Mammography Technologist
About the Role Logan Health is seeking a compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our Mobile Mammography Coach serving the Hi-Line region. This PRN position supports early detection and prevention of breast cancer and offers potential to move into a full-time role. You will operate state-of-the-art mammography equipment and have opportunities to expand into breast sonography and quality control.
What You'll Do
- Properly identify and prepare patients for mammography exams, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort.
- Obtain and document relevant patient history and exam-related information accurately.
- Perform mammography imaging and process images for radiologist review.
- Complete required documentation per departmental protocols; maintain accurate records.
- Ensure patients understand exam results and options as communicated by the Radiologist.
- Perform arrival, end-of-day, and next-day preparation duties per department procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; assist with inventory and stocking.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and preparation for ACR and FDA accreditation.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development related to mammography.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Valid Montana State Radiologic Technologist license.
- BLS certification.
- Mammography certification preferred or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Minimum one year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
- Driver qualifications: Valid driver’s license; driving record for the past 36 months free of major offenses; personal vehicle must carry state-minimum liability insurance if used for Logan Health business.
- ARDMS certification required for Breast Sonography; one year experience preferred in quality control, breast sonography, stereotactic biopsies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills; self-motivated; ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
