About the Role The Mammography Technologist II operates radiology equipment to obtain routine breast radiographs to aid physicians in detecting and treating breast cancer. This is a full-time role based in Arlington Heights, IL that requires patient education, attention to safety, and collaboration with the care team. What You'll Do
- Operate radiology equipment to obtain routine breast radiographs for detection and treatment of breast cancer, under general supervision and according to policies and procedures.
- Position patients and adjust x-ray settings for each examination; evaluate film quality.
- Test radiologic equipment and maintain quality assurance records.
- Perform related office duties as necessary and deliver excellent customer service.
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
- Schedule: 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm.
- Travel to Kildeer and Buffalo Grove locations as needed. What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited school in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration.
- Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license.
- One-year experience as a general radiographer preferred; on-the-job training provided; mammography experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification (BLS).
- Knowledge of body mechanics and safe operation of radiology equipment. Nice to Have
- Experience in mammography beyond the minimum requirements. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $35.35 - $54.79 per hour (USD).
- Sign-on bonus: $10,000.
