Job title: Mammography Tech III
About the Role The Mammography Tech III produces high quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams and DEXA scans, educates patients on scheduled exams, and accurately documents results in the EHR and imaging reporting system. The role also assists radiologists with breast ultrasound biopsies, stereotactic biopsies and breast localizations, and performs high-quality breast ultrasound exams with limited supervision.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing questions or concerns and reporting suspected violations.
- Interact compassionately with patients to provide a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures and equipment, and answering questions.
- Train Mammography Technologists in Breast Ultrasound and in DEXA and Mammography.
- Assist radiologists and nurses in procedures, including Breast localizations, Stereotactic Biopsy, Ultrasound Guided Core Biopsy, CESM and Dutograms as needed; participate in timeouts and post-procedure care.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT Radiology (R) and Mammography (M); ARRT Breast Sonography (BS) or ARDMS Breast (BR); California CRT Mammography license; American Heart Association BLS.
- Experience: Two years as Mammography Technologist II or two years as a licensed Breast Sonographer.
- Patient Care: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Skills: Proficient in mammography, ultrasound and DEXA equipment; knowledge of special and diagnostic procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $43.05 - $65.40 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
