About the Role Mammography Tech II is responsible for producing quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams, performing breast ultrasounds when applicable, and assisting radiologists with procedural exams, as well as DEXA imaging. This role educates patients and accurately documents procedures and codes.
What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Perform breast ultrasounds, if applicable.
- Assist radiologists with procedural exams, including stereotactic core biopsies, ultrasound core biopsies and needle localizations.
- Perform DEXA exams.
- Educate patients regarding procedures and answer questions; document procedures and codes in the EHR and PACS.
- Ensures compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies; report suspected violations.
