Job title: Mammography Tech I
About the Role Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and DEXA exams; educates patients regarding exams and accurately documents procedures and codes. Works within the Breast Center to deliver patient-focused care while ensuring MQSA and state regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate compliance with Code of Conduct and department policies; address questions or concerns and report suspected violations
- Interact compassionately with patients to provide a Five Star experience, explain procedures and answer questions
- Escort patient from sub-wait area to procedure room
- Explain the procedure to the patient prior to beginning the exam
- Obtain appropriate medical history from patient and family before the procedure
- Explain comparative film review and obtain patient film release signature as appropriate
- Perform appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams
- Complete billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS
- Perform bone density screening as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms
- Maintain knowledge per MQSA and state regulatory requirements
- Follow department timekeeping procedures
- Work at main campus and satellite facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS
- Experience: Preferred mammography screening experience
- Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations; strong communication with patients and healthcare professionals; ability to handle difficult and stressful situations calmly; strong time management and prioritization; proficient with mammography and DEXA equipment

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $39.04 - $59.31 per hour
- Sign On Bonus Eligible
