About the Role
Mammography Tech I performs quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and DEXA exams, educates patients about procedures, and accurately documents performed procedures and codes. This role supports the Breast Center team at Eisenhower Health, with responsibilities across the main campus and satellite facilities.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or report suspected violations.
- Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients, providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; explains procedures and equipment, and answers questions.
- Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room.
- Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam.
- Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started.
- Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
- Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
- Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS.
- Performs bone density screening as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms.
- Maintains job knowledge per MQSA and state regulatory requirements.
- Follows department timekeeping procedures.
- Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate of a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS.
- Experience: Preferred: Mammography screening experience.
- Skills: Adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations; communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information; handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner; prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines; proficient in the use of mammography and DEXA equipment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $43.05 - $65.40 per hour USD.
- Sign On Bonus Eligible.
