Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Technical & Mall Coordinator to oversee the technical operations, facilities maintenance, utilities, security, and general upkeep of a large commercial mall or department store.
  • The ideal candidate must have a strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, extensive experience in facilities management, and the ability to troubleshoot technical faults, manage maintenance teams, and ensure the reliable operation of building systems and utilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily technical operations, facilities maintenance, utilities, manpower, and security of the mall.
  • Personally diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and other building systems.
  • Monitor and maintain generators, power plants, transformers, HT/LT panels, electrical switchgear, and other power distribution systems.
  • Manage HVAC systems, chillers, VRV systems, AHUs, FAUs, pumps, cold rooms, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Supervise the maintenance of water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, plumbing systems, booster pumps, and drainage systems.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and regulatory compliance of firefighting systems, including sprinklers, fire pumps, hose reels, and wet risers.
  • Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, access control, public address systems, and other security and building automation systems.
  • Conduct energy audits and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, negotiate vendor pricing, verify contractor bills, and monitor service delivery.
  • Oversee building maintenance, structural repairs, waterproofing, finishing works, landscaping, and fleet maintenance where applicable.
  • Monitor helpdesk activities, maintenance requests, customer/tenant concerns, and service delivery standards.
  • Maintain manpower records, maintenance reports, operational documentation, and other relevant reports.
  • Liaise with utility providers, local authorities, tenants, and other stakeholders on power supply, maintenance, and facility-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, government regulations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a community mall or department store.
  • Extensive experience in mall operations, facilities management, building maintenance, and technical services.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and power systems.
  • Practical knowledge of generators, power plants, transformers, electrical panels, chillers, pumps, water treatment systems, and firefighting equipment.
  • Good understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and integrated building utilities.
  • Experience managing technical teams, contractors, vendors, maintenance budgets, and facility operations.
  • Knowledge of energy monitoring, diesel management, preventive maintenance, and operational cost control.

Salary

N400,000 - N600,000 monthly (Open).
