Job title: Maintenance/Industrial Mechanic
About the Role Edgewell is seeking a Maintenance/Industrial Mechanic to maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment with emphasis on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus basic electrical troubleshooting. This role supports safe, efficient production and continuous improvement across multiple departments.
What You'll Do
- Work safely in accordance with Edgewell Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and cGMP policies.
- Operate equipment as needed and perform Preventative/Predictive Maintenance with thorough documentation.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment; maintain tooling to meet production goals.
- Use CMMS to log activities, raise work notifications, and locate parts; communicate across shifts and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes, and reliability; participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve quality.
- Willing to work OT, flexible hours, weekends as needed; train and assist coworkers; maintain required documentation and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as needed and work in at least one production department.
- Follow Health, Safety & Environmental policy; wear PPE; report injuries; participate in safety meetings; maintain a clean, safe work area; review MSDS before handling chemicals.
- Adhere to Quality procedures; perform quality checks and document results; notify supervision for corrective action when defects are found.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum of one year as Maintenance/Industrial/Production Mechanic or equivalent.
- Skills/Abilities: Proficiency with shop mathematics, reading drawings/specifications, and use of adjustable measuring instruments; ability to operate computer-controlled equipment; familiarity with basic electrical hand tools and testing equipment up to 230V; able to perform repairs and troubleshooting.
- Testing: Must prove satisfactory vs. STM Mechanic Task Series and Basic Props Test.
Nice to Have
- Technical School training or 4 years of relevant industrial or military experience.
