Job title: Maintenance Technician - Production Equipment
About the Role Under general direction, this role tracks the maintenance schedule and maintains production and facility equipment and tools to ensure technical availability and avoid unplanned maintenance. It supports the maintenance process, TPM initiatives, and collaborates with production to reduce downtime and spare parts costs.
What You'll Do
- Track the maintenance schedule and maintain production and facility equipment and tools to maximize technical availability and prevent unplanned downtime.
- Ensure functionality and adherence to the maintenance plan for production equipment and utilities (electricity, water, compressed air, steam, lighting, etc.).
- Support LEONI Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation (preventive, predictive and unplanned maintenance) for production equipment.
- Assist in creating spare parts lists required for planned maintenance and optimize stock of spare parts to be available for maintenance.
- Evaluate repair reports and recommend actions to reduce unplanned maintenance activities.
- Monitor performance of maintenance activities on production equipment/facility equipment/tools and take necessary actions.
- Ensure installation, movement, and re-qualification of equipment and tools.
- Coordinate maintenance for utilities and related systems, including firefighting and fire prevention equipment, security camera systems, and related infrastructure, whether internal or via external suppliers, per requirements.
- Ensure the functionality of machine and system software and support debugging in close collaboration with IT where applicable.
- Work closely with production to minimize downtime and spare parts costs.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum education: BTS (Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, or equivalent).
- Desired experience in an industrial environment, ideally in a production setting.
- Strong knowledge in mechanics, electrical engineering, pneumatics, and automation.
- Analytical mindset, thoroughness, and ability to prioritize.
- Team player with initiative and a proactive attitude.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation.
