About the Role This role supports the Plant Engineering & Maintenance department by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on facility and manufacturing process equipment. The work includes corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment such as air compressors, pumps and motor controls, piping, chillers, cooling towers, stamping presses, welding systems, coating application equipment, transferring/conveyer systems, machining centers, robotics, and other high-tech automated systems. What You'll Do
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas, using hand tools and power tools.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment; follow blueprints and specifications; use hand tools and power tools and precision measuring equipment to perform these functions with good workmanship.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools, following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
- Realign and adjust components such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, and brakes using hand tools and following diagrams. What We're Looking For
- Experience performing maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, including PLCs and control devices.
- Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and use precision measuring equipment to diagnose and repair problems.
- Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting systems such as air compressors, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, conveyors, and robotics in an industrial setting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, meticulous workmanship, and the ability to follow safety and procedural manuals.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with maintenance and production teams.
