Maintenance Technician-Nights

About the Role Maintenance Technician - Nights at Continental in Norfolk, NE provides hands-on maintenance, repair, and development of plant machinery and facilities. The role requires electromechanical expertise or equivalent experience, and focuses on troubleshooting, set-up, and continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment. What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical and manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Set up and operate machining tools such as engine lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders; alter or construct replacement parts and recondition production tooling
• Maintain plant plumbing, heating, cooling, and related facilities and equipment
• Read and understand electrical diagrams and blueprints
• Knowledge of PLCs, electronic and mechanical systems
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Identify and resolve problems before they become costly
• Welding, fabrication and machining skills
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and utilization of lean manufacturing tools
• Assume the job of temporary team leader on a rotational basis
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Required to maintain certifications of plant safety and housekeeping practices
• Understanding of lean manufacturing
• Work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
• Other duties as necessary What We're Looking For
• A 2-year Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related degree OR minimum of 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with experience in areas listed
• Willing to work night shift

• Desire & ability to continuously learn & apply new knowledge/skills

• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• Industrial electrician experience
• Welding, fabrication and machining skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools & techniques
• Passion for quality workmanship
• Good verbal and written communication skills Nice to Have
• Previous maintenance or manufacturing experience
