About the Role Join Tarkett as a Maintenance Technician on the night shift in Chagrin Falls, OH. This role focuses on maintaining safe, reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment and requires strong troubleshooting, fabrication, and reading schematics.
What You'll Do
- Respect and enforce all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Wire 480-volt 3-phase circuits per NEC and 220/120-volt circuits.
- Repair mechanical and electrical equipment; troubleshoot with test equipment (multimeters, ammeters, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine materials, requirements, and procedures.
- Perform metal fabrication; ARC and/or MIG welding; brazing and cutting with acetylene torches.
- Operate machine shop equipment (milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses).
- Cut, thread, and install steel piping and conduit; use threading machines and pipe benders.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry.
- Maintain knowledge of medium-pressure steam boilers and related equipment (chemical feed pumps, condensate return).
- Keep own hand tools and tool cabinet.
What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of recent/current Industrial Maintenance experience or completion of a two-year industrial maintenance program (electricity, welding, or mechanics) with 1-2 years of related experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; determine materials and methods needed.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints/schematics.
- Proficiency with arc and/or MIG welding; metal fabrication skills.
- Experience with machine shop equipment; pipe, piping and conduit installation.
- Knowledge of medium-pressure steam boilers and related systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to $35.25/hour starting pay (overtime and double-time; $1.00 shift differential).
