Job title: Maintenance Technician

About the Role Linde Advanced Material Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Magna, UT to perform mechanical maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment, and support reliability initiatives. You will use a wide range of tools, execute preventive maintenance, and document activities to ensure reliable operation of rotating equipment and systems.

What You'll Do

  • Operate a wide variety of hand, power, and precision tools to perform mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment by isolating faults, disassembling components, and repairing or replacing parts (e.g., bearings, gears, structural components).
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure reliability and optimal performance of equipment and systems.
  • Safely inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating equipment—including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, cooling towers, boiler systems, and valves—and perform equipment alignment as required.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and accuracy.
  • Support Maintenance & Turnaround (TAR) planning and execution, including documentation and follow-ups.
  • Assist in predictive maintenance programs (vibration analysis, oil analysis, etc.).
  • Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to equipment failures and collaborate with reliability teams on corrective actions.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities (corrective & predictive) in CMMS systems.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma is required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Two to five (2–5) years of relevant experience in industrial or mechanical environments is strongly preferred, including journeyman millwright or machinist experience, general maintenance of industrial equipment, compressor systems and compressor maintenance, and industrial mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, PM programs, and CMMS documentation is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to follow safety protocols.
