Position Title: Maintenance Technician 1

Pay Rate: 27.45/HR

Category/Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

The Job You Will Perform:

• Safely and efficiently perform maintenance tasks to minimize unscheduled downtime
• Assists in troubleshooting/servicing and/or repairing balers, conveyors, shredders, lift trucks, loaders, perform equipment PMs
• Assist in welding and fabrication
• Assist in brick laying, laying concrete and experience in framing
• Assist in the repairs and maintain all dock levelers, scales, railings, tile, basic plumbing and cabinetry
• Ensure all maintenance and Company compliance guidelines are followed
• Ensure daily reports are accurately completed, submitted and/or inputted as required
• Ensure maintenance housekeeping meets plant standards
• Participate in safety and environmental audits
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
• Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
• Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
• 5S Implementation
• Respond to reports of broken or faulty items
• Report safety concerns to management

• Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Welder, Drill Press, Electric power tools (grinder, cordless drill), wrenches, measuring tools, air tools, other maintenance tools and equipment, Baler, In-feed Conveyor, Forklift, Shredder/Shredder Baler, Roll Splitter, Loader. Skid Steer, Gaylord Tipper
