About the Role This Maintenance Technician role at Elmet Technologies is based in Lewiston, Maine, focusing on maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment to support continuous production. You will diagnose issues, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, and collaborate with Production and Engineering to maximize equipment reliability.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment throughout the facility
- Fabricate, construct, and assemble components using blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and machine repairs to minimize downtime
- Conduct welding, brazing, soldering, electrical calibration, and related maintenance activities as needed
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic tools to complete repairs safely and accurately
- Document maintenance work orders and equipment records in the CMMS; maintain a clean, safe workspace
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with Production and Engineering teams
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience; electro-mechanical degree or equivalent preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience with hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience a plus; ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $26-$35 per hour
