Job title: Maintenance Technician - Field Operations
About the Role BRINKS is hiring for a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and first-level corrective maintenance on operational machines, handle basic troubleshooting, and support device-related tasks in the field. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with operations and vendors.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and first-level corrective maintenance according to SOPs.
- Handle initial troubleshooting on devices/equipment.
- Perform resets, cleaning, light-part replacement, and function testing.
- Document and report work results, incidents, and spare-part usage in the system/work report.
- Escalate to Second Level Maintenance (SLM) when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety (K3) and asset/data confidentiality.
- Coordinate with operational, monitoring, and vendor teams.
- Support installation, relocation, or removal of devices as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Minimum SMK/D3 in Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics/IT or equivalent).
- Experience: 0-2 years in maintenance/technician roles; fresh graduates considered.
- Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical concepts and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work shifts, be on-call, and mobile.
- Valid SIM C/A (added advantage).
- Competencies: basic problem solving, disciplined and meticulous, good communication, able to work independently and in a team.
- KPI focus: SLA response & recovery, repair success rate, and adherence to SOPs.
